Potions
Potions is a series of images documenting the way children transform seemingly meaningless items into objects of tremendous importance. A single wilted flower becomes the secret ingredient in an elaborate concoction to ward off impending doom, or the world’s strongest love potion. These “elixirs” were assembled solely by the artist’s children, and their neighbourhood friends, then photographed. This series is one of joy and playfulness and attempts to document the inner workings of the mind of a child. Transforming found materials into magical potions.
